The Texas Renaissance Festival is held every October and November in Plantersville, Texas, and is one of the largest renaissance festivals in the United States. The 2013 Texas Renaissance Festival takes place October 12 through December 1, weekends, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The festival takes visitors back in time to the 16th century, offering period food, games, rides, shopping, and shows. There are also costumed entertainers for fair-goers, musical and theatrical acts, art and handicrafts for sale. To save on admission, visitors can avail coupons and free offers.
