What is food and why do I need to eat?

Food is any substance taken in to provide nutritional support for the body. It contains essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals that the body needs to maintain life, stimulate growth and for energy.

It is important to have a healthy meal to avoid obesity, diabetes and other health problems caused by poor eating habit.
